Silva was happy with his team’s comeback but disappointed that they were in that situation in the first place. “It was an exciting game for the people who were here,” the Portuguese stated, but the outcome was definitely unfortunate for us. When you are dominating from the start, like we were, and create more chances, play on the front foot, and try to win the game, it is disheartening.

“It’s not simply because of that; it’s how we conceded the goals. In these types of games, where you are dominant, you cannot be sloppy. It caused a challenging situation for us, but the team’s response was great.

“We refused to lose this game because the players thought we were losing unfairly, but it was also our fault. We shown our ability to recover from a 3-1 deficit and even had a chance to win the game through Tom Cairney. Overall, it was a disappointing loss, but I was delighted with the players’ reactions.
