After a poor 2022, defensive defender Myles Bryant had a solid comeback season in the final year of his contract. The versatile depth player appeared in 17 games and made nine starts, finishing the season with one interception, seven passes defended, two forced fumbles, one sack, 77 tackles, seven tackles for loss, and one quarterback hit. While the Patriots finished with one of the league’s worst records, Bryant contributed to one of the NFL’s best defenses.

Myles Bryant first joined the league as an undrafted free agent after the 2020 NFL Draft. The Washington product signed with the New England Patriots after the big event but did not make the original 53-man roster. However, Bill Belichick kept him on the practice squad, and he ended up playing in nine games as a rookie. Bryant had one interception, one pass defensed, and 12 tackles in his limited playing time.

Bryant had a larger role on defense in his second season. The defensive back appeared in 12 games and made two starts, finishing the season with one interception, three passes defended, one forced fumble, one sack, 41 tackles, and two tackles for loss. New England enjoyed the greatest season of the post-Brady Era, finishing 10-7 and making the playoffs before falling in the Wild Card Round to the Buffalo Bills.

Myles Bryant expanded his role in 2022, but he took a step back with increased playing time. Despite the decline in play, he still had one interception and 70 tackles.

Since signing his rookie contract, Myles Bryant has appeared in 55 games, making 17 starts. In his career on the field, the former undrafted free agent has four interceptions, 17 passes defended, two sacks, and 200 tackles.
