NBC Sports Boston first aired this mic’d up clip of Brad Marchand during the Bruins-Leafs game, and it’s pure gold.

One may persuasively argue that the Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs rivalry is now the best in the NHL.

The Bruins’ 4-1 victory over the Leafs on March 7 marked the most recent episode in what Toronto head coach Sheldon Keefe described as “by far” the team’s most aggressive game of the season. 50 penalty minutes and 91 hits were exchanged between these adversaries.

Nor did it take long for the action to commence. Jake McCabe, a defender with the Leafs, cross-checked Brad Marchand in the face following an early whistle in the first period. Marchand became enraged and informed McCabe and the Leafs bench as much.

In a post on X, the Bruins uploaded a video of the scene that had been muted. The crew had to censor out a lot of what Marchand was saying because of how heated the chats were.

The Bruins will not play Toronto again unless it is in the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs after winning their four-game regular season series against the Leafs. It would be amazing to see the Bruins and Leafs play another playoff series, especially considering how bad of rivals they are. You can bet that Marchand will be in the center of the action if it does occur.
