Jayden Danns has seen his improvement at Liverpool rewarded with a new contract, capping off a fantastic few weeks for the teenage attacker.

After breaking into the first team in recent weeks, the 18-year-old has signed an extension.

Danns, who has been with the Academy since the age of eight, has risen quickly through the ranks in the previous 18 months, despite only making his Premier League 2 debut for the under-21 side in January.

Due to Liverpool’s injury crisis, the forward made his unexpected first-team debut late in the Premier League win over Luton Town last month before appearing for more than half an hour from the bench in the League Cup final triumph against Chelsea at Wembley Stadium.

Danns then scored his first senior goals as a substitute in the FA Cup fifth-round win over Southampton, as well as in the final stages of the thrilling Premier League victory over Nottingham Forest.

The teenager, who was on the bench for Thursday’s Europa League victory over Sparta Prague, has 23 goals in 25 games across all levels this season.
