Liverpool are expected to make a number of changes during the summer transfer window.

With Jurgen Klopp poised to depart at the end of the season, the Reds are about to go upon the big unknown. There’s little question that the forthcoming window will be their largest in years.

There have already been reports that a number of key players may seek to follow Klopp out the door. Although the rumours have previously focused on Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah, there are now concerns that Luis Diaz may also go.

Diaz has already attracted interest from Barcelona, and Colombian journalist Pipe Sierra said on X last night that PSG is now displaying a’real’ desire to sign him.

“PSG’s interest in Luis Diaz is real,” Sierra writes. “It is on their list of choices for the summer market. However, there has been no development as of today, and no one has contacted him.

“The Colombian winger has more than 3 years of contract with the Reds.”

PSG is hoping to sign Diaz

If the price was right, it doesn’t seem like Liverpool would be too upset about losing Diaz.

Yes, he has played in all but one Premier League game this season, making him an important player for the Reds. However, his output has been uneven.
Although Diaz has improved recently and was outstanding against Manchester City on Sunday, there is always room for improvement.

Given that he isn’t scoring as many goals as Sadio Mane did from the same position, he appears to have room for improvement.

As a result, if PSG or Barcelona made an attractive offer, Liverpool might consider it.
Last summer, there were speculations that Saudi Arabian clubs were looking into Lucho. However, a sale at that point would have made little sense.

Some may claim that it still doesn’t. Diaz, 27, is just reaching his peak and appears to have recovered from a knee injury suffered last year. Perhaps the best is yet to come.

With Salah’s future uncertain beyond this season, Liverpool should not settle for second best. The necessity to replace Diaz and Salah in a single window may be excessive.

However, PSG rarely back down in the window. Set to lose Kylian Mbappe, they’ll want to make a statement with their entrance. Let us see if anything develops.
