Liverpool, Arsenal, and Manchester City are locked in one of the most exciting title chases in Premier League history.
The Reds and Gunners are tied on points, with Pep Guardiola’s side just a point behind in third. There are now only 10 league games remaining for all three teams as we go closer to determining who will be crowned champions, with a lot on the line over the next several months.
Jurgen Klopp’s team is aware that one of its opponents will drop points next, when Arsenal and Manchester City clash at the Etihad on Sunday, March 31. Below is the most recent injury update on Liverpool’s title opponents…
Arsenal
Gabriel Martinelli
Martinelli missed yesterday’s European win against Porto after being left out of the squad for Saturday’s game against Brentford. The Brazilian also skipped Monday’s open training session.
Injury: Foot.
Return date: N/A.
Arteta stated: “There aren’t many developments – we still have 24 hours and are trying to squeeze everyone into an available time slot. He [Tomiyasu] completed the first portion; Gabi did not, but we’re hoping Tomi will be participating.”
Takehiro Tomiyasu.
Tomiyasu was back in full team training ahead of the Champions League match against Porto, having missed the previous few weeks due to injury. He was named on the bench but did not get any action.
Injury to the calf.
The expected return date for Man City (A) is Sunday, March 31.

Manchester City Ederson
The goalie was forced to leave the game against Liverpool after colliding with Nunez three minutes in. He continued for six minutes before being treated and replaced.
Injury to the leg.
Arsenal’s (H) potential return date is Sunday, March 31.
Guardiola stated: “It doesn’t look good.”
Jack Grealish
Grealish has been sidelined since the FA Cup victory over Luton Town. The forward has struggled with his conditioning this season and is not likely to be ready until the end of the month.
Injury: groin, hip, and pelvic.
Guardiola stated: “He will not be fit for this weekend. I don’t know when he’ll be back. I believe he will not be fit for the upcoming internationals. He has suffered a setback; he must heal fully so that we can employ him as much as possible.”
