A man was hurt after being’slashed’ in a violent altercation at a pub during the Manchester derby. On Sunday afternoon (March 3), dramatic scenes erupted at the Mottram Wood pub and carvery, located off Stockport Road in Hattersley.

Emergency services, including police, the Tactical Aid Unit (TAU), and paramedics, arrived at the scene soon before 4.30pm. The violent scenes occurred when the Manchester Derby was being shown on screens at the arena.

A barrier was formed around the parking lot, and the pub closed voluntarily while investigations were underway. A man, whose age is unknown, is in the hospital with a hand injury caused by being’slashed’.
No arrests have been made in connection with the event, and police investigations are ongoing.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police stated that police responded to allegations of a disturbance at a bar on Stockport Road in Mottram this afternoon (Sunday, March 3).

“A bunch of men were fighting inside the pub. A male victim received a hand laceration and was sent to the hospital for treatment.

“As a precaution, the pub has voluntarily closed. No arrests were made, and investigations are ongoing.
