Conor Bradley, a standout Liverpool defender, appeared to mock Chelsea’s Ben Chilwell when the latter repeatedly attempted to engage in a scrap during the Carabao Cup final on Sunday.

Chilwell and Bradley repeatedly faced off in Liverpool’s attacking third, often one-on-one without Raheem Sterling at the back, and Jurgen Klopp’s newfound jewel emerged victorious.

Bradley and Chilwell had many altercations throughout the game, with the Reds full-back ultimately having the last laugh. After giving Chilwell a run for his money at Anfield earlier this month, where Bradley scored his first senior goal for the club, the same thing was on the cards at Wembley.

The 20-year-old was regularly left to rush at his man on the ball, and he was only stopped by a succession of more frantic last-ditch tackles as the game progressed.

Bradley fouled Chilwell in the first half and ended up on top of him in front of the linesman. Chilwell replied, shoving Bradley and attempting to elicit a response from the academy graduate. Bradley was eventually backed up by his teammates, but the feud between them continued.

Bradley fired another shot at Chilwell during his post-match celebrations. Bradley took to Instagram after the game and shared an image of himself mocking the 27-year-old, arms out wide and pouting. Bradley included other images from the trophy lift with his teammates, as well as one of Chiwell placing his hands on his own chest.

It undoubtedly drew the attention of defensive partner Ibrahima Konate. “YES!!!” he responded, crying with laughter emojis.

Bradley was later replaced in extra time after being shifted centrally to cover for Ryan Gravenberch, who had been hurt before halftime. Chilwell was also substituted during extra time due to weariness.

The switch worked in Liverpool’s favor, as Chelsea sat back after the break and were eventually punished by Virgil van Dijk’s late goal.
