Tim Ream, Fulham’s defender, is set to earn some praise during the club’s trip to Sheffield United later this month.

Sheffield United veteran Chris Basham has stated that his career may be ended.

Basham sustained a horrific injury against Fulham earlier this season and has informed Sky Sports that he will be out for a long time, and that his career may be gone.

Fulham fans will remember Basham’s injuries and want to see him return at some stage, but it is not easy at 35.

Sheffield United will host Fulham at Bramall Lane later this month, and it appears that Tim Ream will be acknowledged.

When Basham suffered an injury, Fulham defender Ream rushed over to console him and try to soothe him.

Basham told Sky Sports that Ream was ‘great’ throughout the scenario, encouraging him to simply relax and let the medical experts do their jobs.
“Tim Ream was fantastic. He approached me and took my hand, saying, “Let the medics do their work, and you’ll be fine.” The way Fulham and Sheffield United have treated me has been wonderful, and I can’t thank them enough,” Basham added.

Ream was praised at the time, with many praising his concern for an enemy player in need.

Basham’s comments come just weeks before Fulham meet Sheffield United, and they have sparked speculation about Ream’s involvement.

Blades fans on social media urged the team to recognize and acknowledge Ream’s actions in attempting to assist a fan favourite in Basham.

Gary Sinclair, the announcer at Bramall Lane stadium, has since revealed that appreciation for Ream is ‘already planned’, but it is unclear what that will entail at this time.

Sinclair went on to say that Ream was ‘amazing’ and deserved the Premier League’s sportsmanship award.

Sheffield United will not forget Ream’s services, as the Fulham centre back will now be the focus of a heartwarming moment at the end of March.
