Following Liverpool’s stunning 99th-minute triumph at the City Ground, Nottingham Forest’s chairman rushed onto the ground, causing wild scenes.

For lengthy stretches, the Reds looked to be on the verge of losing ground in the East Midlands.

Darwin Nunez was about to come home from a spectacular Alexis MacAllister cross when the fire began to go out.

The away fans went crazy because it was one of Liverpool’s most recent Premier League goals.

The last whistle, however, blew, and chaos ensued. Referee Paul Tierney dismissed assistant coach Steven Reid and numerous Nottingham Forest staff members for bookings.

A member of Forest’s backroom crew overheard Virgil van Dijk talking to someone.

The presence of Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis on the field just added to the insanity.

Marinakis shares ownership of Rio Ave and Olympiacos in Greece. He was so disappointed with the team’s performance in 2018, he penalized everyone and sent them on vacation.

He also substituted members of the Under-20 team for them.

He reportedly said, “I and the rest of the fans have tolerated you enough,” according to Greek media. You are supposed to leave today for your vacation.

As much as you admire Olympiacos and their followers, amateur teams stick to the fundamentals.

You don’t care about the team; instead, you value your nice homes and cars.

I’m willing to pay millions of dollars so you can have it all. Because of what you did, I was forced to fire three coaches. Yet, in the end, it appears that you were at fault.

Following the thrilling triumph, Liverpool increased their lead over second-place Manchester United to four points; but, if Manchester City defeats United in Sunday’s derby, they will be able to narrow the deficit to one.

The two clubs will face off in a huge contest next week at Anfield.
