Payton Wilson’s blazing speed was on full display on the first day of the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, Indiana. The NC State linebacker was among the top in his position group in the 40-yard dash, running 4.44 seconds with a 10-yard split of 1.54 seconds. However, Washington’s Edefuan Ulofoshio outperformed the other linebackers in a trio of workouts on Thursday.

Ulofoshio, who measures 6-foot-1 and weighs 236 pounds, dazzled with a vertical jump of 39 and 1/2 inches and a wide jump of 10 feet, eight inches. Mock drafts around the country predicted the Washington talent would go undrafted, but his performance may have piqued the interest of enough teams to take a risk on him. Ulofoshio concluded his final season as a Husky with 94 tackles (62 solo), three sacks, and one forced fumble. He received First Team All-Pac-12 recognition for his accomplishments.
