Blackburn regained their footing after Dubravka stopped Sammie Szmodics’ first kick when Aynsley Pears raced into action to block Harvey Barnes’ attempt, but the Newcastle ‘keeper dived low again to keep out Hyam’s final shot and eliminate the home side.
