Derek Forbort has appeared in all of the Bruins’ last ten games, but his run will come to an end Monday night.

Forbort did not attend the morning skate in Seattle, where the Black and Gold will conclude their four-game West Coast road trip with a game against the Kraken. Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery announced to reporters later in the day that Forbort will not suit up at Climate Pledge Arena due to missing a team meeting, according to NESN’s Adam Pellerin.

Kevin Shattenkirk is likely to return to Boston’s blue line with Forbort out. Shattenkirk appeared in only one of the first three games of the current road trip, collecting just under 14 minutes of ice time in last Thursday’s overtime loss to the Calgary Flames. According to Fluto Shinzawa of The Athletic, the 35-year-old was paired with Parker Wotherspoon on the Bruins’ third defense pairing during Monday’s morning skate.

The puck drop for the Bruins-Kraken game is planned for 10 p.m. ET. The game will be completely covered on NESN beginning at 9 p.m.
