NHL Rumours: Edmonton Oilers And New Jersey Devils

Greetings and welcome to NHL Rumors again! Logan Stankoven made his NHL debut and recorded his first-ever multipoint performance. The Bruins have played six straight extra games, suggesting that teams seem to be allergic to the situation. Even while that is exciting stuff, the buzz is churning quickly as the trade deadline is drawing soon. The Edmonton Oilers and the New Jersey Devils are the subject of today’s rumors.

NHL rumors about the Edmonton Oilers: Elliote Friedman talks about Anthony Mantha and the team on the 32 Thoughts podcast.

Without a doubt, the Edmonton Oilers will be major buyers at the trade deadline given their ascent to the top of the rankings. There have been rumors for the past several weeks that the team is searching for wingers. The club is mediocre at best and may stand to improve behind Zach Hyman and Evander Kane. General Manager Ken Holland recognizes the name Friedman mentions.

When Anthony Mantha was a player for the Detroit Red Wings, Holland selected him in the draft. Mantha is currently a Washington Wizard and may be moving. While still very much in the playoff race, Washington may decide to sell Mantha to a competitor.

Mantha is a powerful winger with the ability to shoot the puck into the net. Although he had a difficult start, he has improved over the last two months, scoring 17 points. Even though it’s not the most spectacular move, the wing position is deep. Stay tuned as there might be a reunion in Edmonton.

Devils of New Jersey

Rumor: Daily Faceoff’s Frank Seravelli talks about the Devils’ goalkeeper hunt

We head east for the next round of NHL Rumors. The New Jersey Devils are one team that is in the thick of things but still needs assistance. They require assistance from the teams in front of them in addition to attending to their own needs. They also need assistance in the goal crease, and they are interested in a name that has surfaced.

The Devils have been considering Nashville Predators goalie Juuse Saros, which makes sense. He is without a doubt the best goalie in the league and has performed admirably for the predators. He now has a.904 save %, which is below expectations by -3.3 goals saved. Despite being in the mix, the Devils’ goaltenders have proved brittle, ranking 32nd in team save %. Put another way, obtain some assistance for the men in front; they most definitely deserve it.

But the hose has a kink in it. Seravelli claims that the Predators would prefer to hold onto Saros while they are involved. Trotz might back out if the offer is sufficiently enticing, but this would be a huge move in what is a wide open Eastern Conference.
