Former Fulham star Ryan Sessegnon has shared a heartfelt statement on social media after suffering another injury blow.

We have seen some true talent emerge from the Fulham ranks in recent seasons.
Fabio Carvalho and Harvey Elliott jump to mind with both now on the books at Liverpool.

There was likely even more buzz about Ryan Sessegnon though, who gained the title of being a wonderkid at Craven Cottage.

Sessegnon shot to prominence with Fulham, hitting 25 goals and 18 assists in 120 games.

Even the most passionate of Fulham fans undoubtedly knew that a transfer would come, and it arrived in 2019 as Sessegnon joined Tottenham Hotspur for £25million.

That move was meant to launch Sessegnon to superstardom but it just hasn’t occurred with injuries and a lack of form hampering him.

Ryan Sessegnon releases newest injury update

Sessegnon has only managed one first-team appearance this season.

The 23-year-old has been fighting with hamstring injuries and made a long-awaited return in a Premier League 2 clash earlier this month.

Disaster struck for Sessegnon after just 37 minutes as he sustained another hamstring injury – this time in his other leg.
Sessegnon has now resorted to social media to reveal that he is getting surgery again, claiming that this is the best solution for his career.

Sessegnon said that he is ‘devastated’ and ‘gutted beyond belief’ and encouraged supporters to remain courteous following another failure.

We are sure that Fulham fans everywhere would be devastated for Sessegnon too and we have even seen Fulham-owned player Tyrese Francois tweeting a message declaring ‘head high’ to the Tottenham ace.

We hope to see Sessegnon back in action and thriving again soon, with the former Fulham talent in dire need of a little of luck after a tough experience in recent years.
