Fulham secured a thrilling stoppage-time win over Manchester United on Saturday, with Alex Iwobi scoring in the 97th minute to claim a surprising 2-1 Premier League victory.

Fulham manager Marco Silva was ecstatic with his team’s last-minute triumph over Manchester United. Alex Iwobi scored the decisive goal in extra time, propelling the London club to a 2-1 victory at Old Trafford.

It was Fulham’s first victory on United’s soil since 2003. After witnessing Fulham dominate most of the contest and take the lead with a 65th minute goal, Silva concluded that win was well-deserved.

Silva stated unequivocally: “In my opinion, the better team on the pitch won the game.” We are the team that created the most opportunities, performed better, and attempted to win the majority of the games.

“We had a good number of chances in the first half. They had two or three fantastic moments as well, but the way we started the second half, the first 30 minutes, and controlled the game against Manchester United at Old Trafford is not simple to replicate.

“We scored and after came the normal reaction from Man Utd, the crowd played a big part in their reaction, and we conceded a bit of an unlucky goal.”

Silva was proud of Fulham’s response after conceding, saying: “In that moment, we shown a strong mindset. It was a challenge for us not to give the second goal since Old Trafford was on fire, but we shown a strong attitude, and Rodri (Muniz) had a good chance before the 2-1 score.
