Football fans have criticized Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes for his antics against Fulham.
During United’s 2-1 home loss to the Cottagers, the Portuguese ace couldn’t contain his wrath. Throughout the contest, he was spotted arguing with the referee and shouting at himself and his teammates.
Fans were particularly enraged when he lost the ball in the second half and appeared to fake an injury to try to stop the game. After his wailing continued after the game, football fans of all colors banded together to criticize the Red Devils’ captain.
“Must be one of the worst club captains in football history. “Has all the opposite characteristics of a captain,” one irate football fan remarked.
“What an excellent example to set for all the children watching. “It’s no surprise that grassroots is struggling to find refs,” a second wrote. A third commented, “Disgraceful, and that’s supposed to be the captain?”
