The Baltimore Banner reported earlier this month that Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers was under investigation for an alleged domestic abuse.

According to The Baltimore Banner’s Justin Fenton and Tim Prudente, the Baltimore County Police investigation against Flowers has been closed with no charges.

A woman went to the Acton Police Department in Massachusetts last month to report a “violent domestic incident” involving an NFL player from Owings Mills. According to police records published Tuesday, she told officers that the suspect’s brother had drawn a revolver. Officers said that she declined to identify the NFL player or seek additional action from law enforcement. Instead, she asked police what would happen if she filed a report.

According to police records, she informed investigators that it was a “really bad ten minutes,” but that she hasn’t been terrified since. Additionally, she stated that “he has too much to lose and that he is too smart to do something like that.”

The woman did not submit a police report, so authorities connected her to Flowers via social media.

According to Acton Police and The Baltimore Banner:

“She stated that she was physically assaulted which left her with multiple bruises.”[The woman] indicated that she was afraid to provide much information because of the other party’s high-profile status. When I inquired what she meant by ‘high profile’, she said he was an NFL player. She said she called 911 and was crying when they answered. She informed the communications officer she was OK and hung up.

According to Acton Police, the woman informed them she had photos of her bruises but refused to share them. Her father corroborated her bruises. She did not seek medical care.

According to the report, an Acton Police officer can be heard on body camera footage claiming that there were injuries.

During the police questioning, she also looked at her smartphone and informed detectives that she had received a call from the suspect’s agent. She did not take the call.
