Greetings and welcome to NHL Rumors again! The deadline is in less than two weeks, and there is a ton of activity happening throughout the league. There are more unexpected names coming forward and new clubs are becoming contenders.

The Boston Bruins and Ottawa Senators are at the center of today’s rumors, whiNHL Rumours

Rumors: Fourth Period David Pagnotta talks about the Bruins pursuing a defenseman

The Boston Bruins are searching for a defenseman, in case you haven’t heard by now. The team is now without Matt Grzelcyk, who is day-to-day, and Hampus Lindholm, who is out week to week. Mason Lohrei, who just had an incredible three-point performance against the Oilers earlier this week, is a member of the Bruins roster. But as we move down the stretch, the Bruins might search for more players to support the blue line.

The newest chatter is about Noah Hanifin, a player Don Sweeney has been after since his draft year. However, Sean Walker, a defenseman with the Flyers, might be signed by the team.

Walker would be a good fit for the Bruins’ style of play. Although he doesn’t score many points, he can contribute offensively. Being physically strong and deflecting shots is one of his strongest suit. The club could need a shutdown presence, thus he would be a welcome upgrade and boost on the back end. Walker is a defenseman who plays right-handed, and the squad could use some help on the left side. You can move stuff around, of course, and Walker would be a fantastic addition. The cost might be significant, which would make matters more difficult.

Ottawa Senators

Rumor: Fourth Period’s David Pagnotta talks about Josh Norris’s future in Ottawa

We remain in the Atlantic Division based on the upcoming NHL Rumors. The Ottawa Senators will not make the playoffs, but the Bruins will. Josh Norris is their current shopping center, however they do accept phone calls. Norris is a guy you may add to your core group and build around because he has some remaining time on his contract.

The Senators’ season hasn’t started off well overall, but recently they’ve been playing better hockey. The team may benefit from a sizable return, but the core group is fixed in stone for the foreseeable future. According to Pagnotta, there’s a chance the organization might make a trade akin to one in hockey to upgrade positions that are needed.

To take our club to the next level, changes and additions of some kind are planned. Even if it might not occur, Norris is someone to keep an eye on.
