Former Ajax and Aston Villa winger proposes to play for Celtic on free
BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND – AUGUST 21: Aston Villa’s Anwar El Ghazi celebrates after scoring their team’s second goal from the penalty spot during the Premier League match between Aston Villa and Newcastle United at Villa Park on August 21, 2021 in Birmingham.

Anwar El Ghazi, a former Ajax and Aston Villa winger, has volunteered to play for Celtic for free. The Dutch Internationalist offered his skills in response to the Green Brigade’s most recent demonstration of solidarity with Palestine.

The 28-year-old is locked in a nasty feud with Mainz, who terminated his contract over his support for the Palestinian cause. He has now offered his talents to the Scottish champions.

Anwar el Ghazi is a true legend. He genuinely volunteered to play for Celtic for free after the Green Brigade expressed their support for Palestine.

In recent seasons, the team has struggled with recruitment. This has lead to dissatisfaction within the club after Ange achieved success in his two seasons there. However, the team has struggled to attract quality players, and results have plummeted.

It appears improbable that the club will consider El Ghazi as a possibility. His battle with Mainz has also caused a number of issues.

El Ghazi scored 26 goals and assisted 16 times in 119 Villa games, while he scored 23 goals and 16 assists with Ajax. Celtic have been lacking in attacking talent, and a player with El Ghazi’s experience would have likely helped the team.
