The 2023-24 NFL season for the Dallas Cowboys was underwhelming, to say the least. Despite being the second seed in the NFC, the Cowboys were defeated by the Green Bay Packers in a historic wild card round. Now, Dallas must take a close look at themselves before the 2024 NFL season.

Micah Parsons, Cowboys linebacker, attempted to address some of the team’s difficulties. However, one prominent NFL commentator is not giving Parsons any leeway. That observer went on to say that Parsons is part of the problem with the Cowboys’ culture.

Former NFL linebacker Bart Scott appeared on ESPN’s Get Up morning show to discuss Parsons and the Cowboys’ future plans. Scott was mostly responding to a criticism made by Parsons concerning the Cowboys’ present identity. Here was the comment:

“That’s part of the culture and the identity that I just feel like we are missing.”
Parsons is tackling the Cowboys’ culture problem. Scott, on the other hand, disputed this comment since he believed Parsons contributed to the cultural problem. Here is Scott’s complete answer to this.

“Attitudes reflect leadership. Who leads that squad (the Cowboys)? To be a generational player, you must excel and inspire others to follow suit. “He lacks leadership.” —Bart Scott
