The latest Aston Villa news and gossip as injury updates come for Diego Carlos, Tyrone Mings, and Emi Buendia as Unai Emery prepares his squad to face Fulham in the Premier League.

Aston Villa prepare to return to Premier League action this weekend with an away trip to Fulham.

Unai Emery’s team travels to Craven Cottage hoping to resume winning ways. Villa dropped out of the top four after losing 2-1 to Manchester United last week and Tottenham Hotspur’s last-minute winner against Brighton.

Villa have now lost their previous two games to Manchester United and Chelsea, with the latter coming in an FA Cup fourth-round replay. Villa have won only one Premier League match since the turn of the year, and Emery will be looking to rectify that against Fulham on Saturday.

With numerous key players out, Emery will be compelled to strive to get the three points. Boubacar Kamara, the latest player to be brought to the treatment room, has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to a knee injury.

Tyrone Mings and Emi Buendia are also ruled out due to knee issues. The duo have not played for Villa since last summer, but are reaching the end of their recovery, but Emery has stated that neither is expected to return in time to play again this season.

Emery informed reporters on Friday that Buendia and Mings will be out for the rest of the season, but they should be able to train by the conclusion. “Then starting next season being fine to come back like before.”

Diego Carlos and Ezri Konsa, both centre backs, are also out due to injuries. Carlos is anticipated to be sidelined for up to a month due to a hamstring injury sustained during training this week.

Konsa suffered a knee injury earlier this month and is anticipated to be sidelined until next month. Striker Jhon Duran will also miss the match against Fulham due to a hamstring issue.
