Football Insider has learned that Newcastle United and Aston Villa are interested in Arsenal periphery player Emile Smith Rowe.

Both sides are expected to approach the Gunners about the 23-year-old if he becomes available this summer.

According to Football Insider, Arsenal is considering selling Smith Rowe and will make a big decision on his future during the offseason.

Due to injuries and tough competition at the Emirates Stadium, the midfielder has only made three starts this season.

Smith Rowe was linked with a loan move to West Ham in the January transfer window, but Arsenal decided to keep him as they aim for Premier League and European success.

West Ham has made Smith Rowe approach.
He came up through the ranks at Arsenal, therefore any sale will be for pure profit under Financial Fair Play rules.

Newcastle might be a possible destination for the England international as they want to push their squad to the next level in the transfer market.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa had long admired him and attempted to sign him before he signed a new contract that will last until June 2026.

Aston Villa
Villa manager Unai Emery is thought to be a great fan of Smith Rowe from their time together at Arsenal.

He has only made 14 appearances in all competitions so far in 2023-24, and a recent ankle injury may force him to miss further time.
