QB Reese has officially joined the Alabama football team, and he made it known with a loud and enthusiastic “Roll Tide” as he put pen to paper.

The three-star Ramsay linebacker signed with the Crimson Tide on Wednesday morning during a ceremony at Birmingham’s Ramsay High School.

Reese, who had been committed to the Crimson Tide since September, chose to sign with his high school friends rather than make it official during the early signing period.

“I wanted to enjoy the process and definitely wanted to sign at the same time with my teammates,” Reese said in a statement. “Those guys are my family and I wouldn’t be where I’m at without them.”

Despite the untimely retirement of previous Alabama coach Nick Saban, Reese remained committed to the Crimson Tide and ended his recruitment after meeting with new Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer during an official visit to Alabama.

“He made it feel like home, like coach Saban never left,” Reese was quoted as saying. “He assembled an excellent defense staff, and they made all of us feel like family. The culture is still present, and it fits.”

Reese was a three-year starter for the Rams and was voted ASWA Class 5A Lineman of the Year this season. He concluded his career with over 300 tackles and is ranked No. 40 in the 247 composite rankings of the state’s finest seniors.

The 6-foot, 205-pound Reese is scheduled to arrive at Alabama this summer, joining Sterling Dixon (Spanish Fort), Justin Okoronkwo (Munich, Germany), and Cayden Jones (Arden, N.C.) as incoming freshmen linebackers.

“We’re going to win the national championship,” Reese declared. “This does not change with a new staff. “It is still the Alabama standard.”

Nine additional Ramsay players have signed with college programs: Noah Sanders (UAB), J’Marcus Jones (Central Arkansas), Ashton Ashford (Alabama State), DyLan Robinson (Alabama A&M), Cam Carson (Miles), Jacob Andrews (Miles), Jaquille Malone (Tuskegee), Demarcus Wynn (Tuskegee), and Fletcher Taylor (West Alabama).
