Roy Keane praised Jurgen Klopp in his post-match interview following Liverpool’s Premier League defeat to Arsenal.

The Reds’ lead over the Gunners was reduced to two points as they fell 3-1 in north London.

Klopp was not afraid to say that Arsenal deserved to beat his Liverpool side

Defensive mayhem from Liverpool, which Virgil van Dijk accepted responsibility for, allowed Gabriel Martinelli to score an open goal and lead Arsenal to a critical victory.

It was a squandered opportunity for the visitors to increase their advantage to eight points, and a long cry from their overwhelming triumph over Chelsea on Wednesday.

After the game, Klopp said that Arsenal deserved to win and that his team lacked the finishing ability to earn a victory.

And Keane was overjoyed with what he heard as Liverpool prepares to respond to the setback to their title chances.

“I loved the interview, I think he is very honest Klopp,” the Manchester United legend told Sky Sports.

“I believe he’s been quiet there. He definitely has a lot of experience, and he understands that there will be ups and downs throughout the season. For the majority of the season, Liverpool has been up, so I believe I have the appropriate balance; I felt his piece was bang on.

Keane was impressed with Klopp’s assessment of the defeat

“I’ve always enjoyed his post-game content; I don’t think you get any bull from him. I thought it was pretty straightforward and very…”

Can you see the manager’s quality and experience? ‘Everyone calm down, we’ll bounce back.'”

Arsenal took the lead with Bukayo Saka, but Liverpool equalised just before halftime thanks to Gabriel’s disastrous own goal.

Martinelli then capitalized on Van Dijk and Alisson’s errors before Leandro Trossard struck late to secure the Gunners’ victory.

Liverpool’s last league defeat came in September against Tottenham, and they’ve won ten games since then.

While Sunday’s result will be difficult to digest, they remain league leaders and are firmly in contention for the crown this season.
