Arsenal are prepared to meet Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium in what will be this weekend’s Premier League encounter.

Despite the importance of today’s game, the Gunners do not have the best record against their opponents – Arteta’s side has won only two of their last 17 league meetings against Liverpool, both of which came at the Emirates.

And, knowing that another win later this afternoon will increase his team’s advantage to eight points at the top of the league, Jurgen Klopp will be keen to improve their head-to-head record against Arsenal, even if it is just for 24 hours until reigning champions Manchester City face off.

Both managers have announced their starting lineups for the encounter, which begins at 4.30 p.m. (UK time).

Kai Havertz has been charged with spearheading the Gunners’ line as Gabriel Jesus was only named on Arteta’s bench.

Striker Darwin Nunez, who suffered an injury against Chelsea, has been ruled out of Klopp’s starting eleven but is fit enough to sit on the bench.

Meanwhile, Ryan Gravenberch replaces Dominik Szoboszlai, who did not travel to London with the rest of the Liverpool team.
