When it comes to goalies, Nottingham Forest is in a really tough situation.

Odysseas Vlachodimos and Matt Turner, two former Arsenal players, are in goal for the Reds, although neither has performed well enough at the City Ground thus far.

When the Gunners defeated them earlier this week, the American was once again at fault. He turned Gabriel Jesus’ goal into a feast, which contributed to Arsenal’s victory.

Forest is now trying to sign a new goalie today.

They have attempted to sign Sam Johnstone twice and placed a bid for Koen Casteels. They have also examined Caoimhin Kelleher of Liverpool.

According to Daniel Taylor of The Athletic on X, they have also approached Aaron Ramsdale of Arsenal about signing with them today.

“NFFC goalkeeper hunt,” he tweeted. Placed a bid at Wolfsburg last week for Koen Casteels. inquired about Sam Johnstone twice, Caoimhin Kelleher, and Aaron Ramsdale.

“Rui Silva from Real Betis also made an attempt. The newest is Matz Sels in Strasbourg, although there are still other choices.

At Arsenal, Ramsdale has descended the hierarchy. Now that he is trailing David Raya, it doesn’t appear possible for him to reclaim his position.

The England goalie has been linked to a move away from Arsenal; a few months ago, Football Transfers said that the Gunners would sell the player for £50 million.

We don’t think Forest will make a bid of this magnitude for Ramsdale today, and even if they do, we don’t think Arsenal will accept it at this late stage of the transfer window.

But it’s anticipated that Ramsdale will depart the Gunners in the summer.
