Gabriel Jesus’s injury disclosure prior to the crucial Arsenal vs. Liverpool match

Before this weekend’s pivotal match against Liverpool, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is worried about the health of a vital attacking member of his team.

After defeating Nottingham Forest 2-1 at the City Ground on Tuesday, the Gunners will take on Jurgen Klopp’s Premier League table-toppers at the Emirates on Sunday.

Arteta is worried about Gabriel Jesus’s fitness because the former Manchester City striker hurt his knee during the team’s 5-0 victory over Crystal Palace during the midseason break.

Jesus had to have surgery on the same knee last summer, which was concerning because it prevented him from playing at the beginning of the season.

Before the game in which the 26-year-old scored the first goal and Bukayo Saka netted the second, which helped the team win 2-1 at the City Ground earlier this week, the Brazilian was questionable.

Taiwo Awoniyi’s strike in the 89th minute forced the North Londoners to suffer a late Forest blitz.

Nevertheless, a resilient Arsenal persevered by displaying fortitude, which Arteta believes was further highlighted by Jesus playing despite a knee injury.

Two days ago, Gabi began to win the match, Arteta said following the game.

Everyone was trying to shield him from his knee problem by telling him not to go outside. However, he was stating, “I want to be there, I want to help the team win the game,” on matchdays two and one.
