Ben Johnson, the offensive coordinator, declared this summer that he would not accept a head coaching position, meaning the Detroit Lions were able to reassign him to a position that would guarantee them a 2023 NFC championship.

Johnson made the decision to remain in Detroit in order to fight for another championship with one of the NFL’s most talented offensive lineups, despite reports that other teams considered hiring the young coach for the second straight summer.

Rapper Eminem, one of the Lions’ biggest supporters, expressed his excitement on social media.

Eminem commented, “I guess I should stop recording this diss track.” “… Ben Johnson I’m grateful you stayed! This team is unbreakable, especially with me on it! We adore you, Coach Campbell, my brother! Let’s do it again the following year!I’m prepared! I swear to you that I will make it to the Super Bowl!

Marshall Mathers, better known by his stage name Eminem, was raised in Detroit and has long been a devoted Lions fan.

He even went to the Lions’ postseason games, which included the Santa Clara, California, NFC championship game.

With Johnson back, the Lions should have a chance to not only win the NFC North again but also make it back to the conference championship game.

Before the 49ers were able to rally and win the game in the fourth quarter to advance to their second Super Bowl since 2019, Detroit led throughout the entirety of the first half and a large portion of the third quarter.

The Lions, who lost out on the opportunity to win the Super Bowl this year, have a strong roster returning for 2024 with their finest coaches.
