Chants of “JA-RED GOFF!” have been heard around Detroit during the past few weeks. At Red Wings games, restaurants, and airports, it has happened on its own.

Goff has returned the affection that Lions supporters have lavished upon him.

Goff expressed his desire for the partnership to continue into 2024.

According to Kyle Meinke of mlive.com, Goff stated on Monday, “I’ve loved every second of my time here and would love more.” “I cherish Dan Campbell.” I’m in love with my teammates and the coaches. Yes, that would be fantastic. It’s not up to me, though.

Goff will earn $21.7 million in base pay and $31.7 million in 2024, counting toward the cap, as he enters a contract year. The Lions would pay a lot more for a new contract since 12 quarterbacks would be making at least $40 million annually.

It’s not my decision,” Goff remarked. I adore this location, and as time passes, we’ll see what transpires. But yes, I adore this location, Dan, my teammates, and all of the coaches. It’s not under my control. My delegates and, of course, the folks upstairs [in the front office] have the last say.

Goff doesn’t care whether or when a new contract is signed.

However, he earns it after playing in his third Pro Bowl and finishing with a career-high 4,575 yards and 30 touchdowns on 67.3 percent of his passes, along with 12 interceptions.

In addition to setting a franchise milestone with 12 wins in the regular season, the Lions earned their first division title since 1993 and made it to the NFC Championship Game for the first time since 1991.
