Following the team’s heartbreaking loss to the 49ers in the NFC Championship game, the most well-known Lions supporter is experiencing the same anguish as the rest of the fan base. Detroit blew a 24-7 halftime lead, and it came this close to being Eminem against Taylor Swift in the Super Bowl.

After Detroit’s 34–31 loss to San Francisco, one of the best seasons in team history, and the team’s first trip to the NFC Championship game since 1991, came to an end with a post from Eminem on X (Twitter).

“Very happy for the Lions. Many thanks for a fantastic season! We will return,” he wrote on X.

Furthermore, this is not the first time this season that the Detroit rapper has spoken to the Lions on social media. “Can’t believe I did it again!!! Lions,” Eminem posted following the victory over Tampa Bay. He joked that he had put a “I” in team in response to a tweet from earlier in the season in which he had done so by mistake.

Eminem was present at the Levi’s Stadium game last night, as shown in pictures and a video posted on X. He attended the two home playoff games as well. And every time he appeared on Ford Field’s video displays, he added to the already fervent enthusiasm of the audience.

The Super Bowl will take place in Las Vegas on Sunday, February 11 and pit San Francisco against Kansas City.
