With his prominent position inside the organization, Brock Lesnar was expected to play a key role in this weekend’s Royal Rumble WWE premium live event, which is set to launch the WrestleMania 40 season.

Lesnar had not appeared on WWE TV since his match against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam Premium Live Event. However, it was believed that he would make a return appearance on the April Show of Shows.

But given the recent filing of a new case involving Vince McMahon—in which the latter was accused of trafficking—his comeback may not be happening anytime soon. In some way, Lesnar’s status as a prominent WWE Superstar was hinted at. Numerous accusations were made against McMahon by former WWE employee Janel Grant, claiming that he shared pornographic footage of her with other WWE employees, anonymous executives, and celebrities without her knowledge.

The lawsuit claims that McMahon gave Janel Grant instructions to produce customized, compromised content for a specific WWE celebrity, identified as a UFC fighter who was also bound by a WWE contract, according to Wall Street Journal reports.

Although the WWE Superstar’s name was never stated in the lawsuit, insiders claimed to have identified him as Brock Lesnar. Numerous more rumors about McMahon and his favorite WWE star at the time were also made public, landing both in deep water. As a result, according to ProWrestlingScoops, the WWE creative team has been instructed to cease developing original ideas for Brock and is actively searching for someone to take his position in the Men’s Royal Rumble match.

This is in response to a Fightful Select article that said talks were ongoing regarding Brock Lesnar’s possible return to WWE television. Actually, it’s no longer the case that Royal Rumble is the event where he will appear, as it was first thought. The Beast Incarnate has never been out of place when it comes to his WWE schedule. However, given these accusations and the fact that McMahon is no longer a member of the creative team, his circumstances within the organization may be altering.
