Following an exciting victory at home against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC divisional stage of the playoffs, quarterback Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions made history on Sunday afternoon by making it all the way to the NFC Championship Game. Following the Lions’ victory against the Los Angeles Rams last week, in which Goff assisted his club in winning their first postseason game in more than thirty years, came this victory.

Goff was equally outstanding on Sunday afternoon, leading the team to victory with two touchdown passes and no interceptions. The Lions’ next game is a road match against the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship, where a trip to Las Vegas on February 11 to play in the Super Bowl is at stake.

Goff, who recently talked about his team’s confidence as the postseason moves along, is one person who is not at all scared about that clash.

According to Will Burchfield of 97.1 The Ticket on X, the social media platform that was formerly known as Twitter, Goff stated following the Buccaneers game, “I don’t want to say this arrogantly, but we expected to win the first game, we expected to win this game, and now we get to go to a game we expected to be in against a really good team at their place and we’re going to come into it expecting to win.”

On Sunday night, the 49ers and Lions will play their first game from the Bay Area in California. The victor will be leaving for Las Vegas.
