Skip Bayless has temporarily suspended his finest routine of tossing Dallas Cowboys jerseys in the trash after poor performances because he is out of jerseys. America’s Team does not appear to be the world-beating unit it was not long ago, with setbacks in Buffalo and Miami over the holiday break. That means they’ll have to win out and acquire some help to win the NFC East and escape a journey to the Super Bowl that will almost certainly require three straight road games. And Bayless is in a lot of pain. During an Undisputed monologue this morning, he even admitted to being terrified of the big, terrible Detroit Lions.

“I don’t think my Dallas Cowboys can beat the Detroit Lions right now because I think the Lions are playing at a higher late-season level than the Cowboys are,” Bayless stated with an air of sadness.
Hey, he’s right when he’s right. Despite being virtually a touchdown underdog on Saturday night, the Lions will win outright. Then Jacoby Brissett will beat a reeling Brock Purdy and the Niners, giving Detroit control of the 1-seed heading into the final week of the season. Nobody is talking about it, but it is something that could happen.
