The Detroit Lions (9-4) and Denver Broncos (7-6) meet in Week 15, and because the game is earlier in the week (Saturday night), the Lions performed a walkthrough practice on Tuesday before returning to full practice on Wednesday.

Any updates from yesterday’s injury report will be highlighted.

There will be no practice on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, the Lions were fortunate to have all 53 players on the active roster present and practicing.

Limited experience

WR NEW INJURY FOR Josh Reynolds (back)
LT Taylor Decker (rear) Upgraded following a projected no-practice day on Tuesday C DT Frank Ragnow (toe/back/knee) Benito Jones (collarbone)
Reynolds was listed as having a new back issue on Wednesday. Midweek injuries may be difficult, especially on a short week, but we’ll see how he feels after Thursday’s practice, the final of the week. If he is unable to travel, Jameson Williams and/or Donovan Peoples-Jones may be given more opportunities.

Decker practiced on the field on Wednesday after coaches predicted he wouldn’t be able to do so on Tuesday. This is a very good sign, as Matt Nelson, the Lions’ intended offensive tackle replacement, is still on injured reserve. If Decker is ruled out, the Lions will almost certainly turn to Dan Skipper or youngster Colby Sorsdal.

After missing all of last week’s workouts, Ragnow (with a knee brace) officially joined Decker on the practice field. Ragnow was expected to be able to practice on Tuesday, which is a hopeful indicator that the Lions may be able to reassemble its starting offensive line.

Jones was listed as limited on the injury report on Tuesday after suffering a fresh injury. While injured, he was able to practice, which is a positive indication for a defensive tackle group that lost Alim McNeill to injured reserve last week and Quinton Bohanna to the Titans after he was plucked off the practice squad.

Complete practice

Hendon Hooker (ACL) evaluation clock is at 6 days.
Hooker continues to put in full practices as he nears a return from his ACL injury. The Lions now have less than a week to decide whether to activate him or keep him on the NFI list, effectively ending his rookie season.
